You can call me a doula or a caregiver but as a postpartum care concierge, my primary goal is to empower, support, and care for new moms.
How time in your home would be spent:
As a postpartum doula (newborn–3 mo.)
Sharing knowledge of newborn care with parents (swaddling, diapering, body wearing, feeding, calming, bathing)
Doing light housekeeping, baby laundry and errands
Teaching baby massage
Providing an ear for listening to birth story, fears, questions
Sharing local resources and referrals
Supporting baby feeding.
Discussing how to recognize baby’s hunger and tired cues.
Providing baby sleep support so Mom can get rest, shower, relax.
Preparing nutritious snacks and meals for Mom.
Educating about child development, milestones
As a childcare provider (3 mo. – 1 year)
seeing to the welfare of the baby
maintaining feeding schedule
taking walks & stimulating through play
observing established sleep schedule
nurturing and loving
